|

Hey all,
I am interested possibly moving to Zhuhai within the next few months.
How easy would it be to just show up and get a job there. I mean without having first secured one before showing up.
I found it quite easy to just show up in Beijing and look for a job once there, but that's Beijing, will Zhuhai be the same, or at least close? Or would it really be better to try to secure a job before I show up there?
I was probably moving in March April or May but I can arrive there as soon as early February, would that be better? I know they are between semesters in February so it's a good time for job searching, but China has job offers all year round also.
However, if trying to just show up in Zhuhai and find a job after arriving, would February be substantially better then a month or two later, or would I still be able to get a job then.
As far as qualifications and experience I have both (not a degree, but I have TESOL/tefl certification from Oxford Seminars, and experience teaching in China as well,) so that end shouldn't be a problem.
What do people think?

Yeah. I live and work in Zhuhai, and have been here for 6 years. I definitely WOULD NOT recommend coming here without a prearranged job. The visa situation can be quite difficult here unless you are connected with someone with some "guanxi". |
