I am sorry if this is an oft' asked question, but are all degrees, including those earned online, okayed for E-2's? There are so many accreditation bodies, I am confused as to which are referred to when being considered for a teaching post.
Many thanks, peace and good luck to all out there! 8) |

If this relates to the E-2 for Korea, please consider posting your question on the Korean Job Forum. |

Good question really. Are there really so many "accreditation bodies?" If the degree is from a legitimate institution it will not matter whether you took online classes or not.
I can tell you about the e-2 visa and Canada. The degree must be from an official University of which I think there are 37. A College degree from a technical vocational or Community College will not do it. The difference is that a Uni must offer certain programs and have a certain number of PH'Ds employed. Several Colleges met this criteria and became Universities. So a diploma from Humber College will not get you a visa but a degree from the Univerity of Regina will. As far as I know this somehow involves the govt but I do not know how. I assume there are lists of official Universities for each country but I am not certain. Then again Immigration are known to be incompetent and lazy in many places so any diploma might work. |

Personally I think a "please consider" from a moderator with an avatar as mean as that means "If you mention anything vaguely to do with that country just north of Japan you'll regret it."
Possibly best to leave well alone.... |
