I have noticed a few posts regarding the amount of post MA experience necessary for Uni posts in UAE...some say its 3 years min, I am doing a blended MA next year and although I wont have post MA experience I have some(14 years) pre MA, would this be ok or nay? Pray? The Sisyphus |

Certainly it will be taken into consideration, but how much it will "count' depends on how related it is to the position you are applying for. If it is a university position and your experience is 14 years of conversations classes in Asia, it will count for little. If half of it is teaching academic English in university prep programs, it will help immensely.
But, for many places you may still be considered MA+0 on their pay scales. At this point the relevancy plus your negotiating skills come into play.

in your case the experience may help you get hired, but for pay purposes you have 0 experience and are paid 0 years post MA (ie the bottom of the scale) |

The bottom of the scale? Im done for...so what , very approximate would be the bottom of the scale in terms of salary and how much could one save out of this (I am as frugal as a church mouse ) , if I was the man on the Clapham Omnibus ....The Sisyphus |
