Hi. I made such a bad decision, expensive too, last semester, almost teaching in Nanchang, that I'm really careful now and ask for feedback, specific stuff is best.

I can't help you with that school, but the city is alright. Hotels suck here, with the whole, "we'll screw foreigners by refusing to let them rent a room for the night at a reasonable rate, so we'll send them over to the hotels that cost more for a single night than a hotel in Shanghai or Beijing" scam. I had relatives visit and that was particularly ass-tacular to have to deal with. That's about the only sucktacular thing about Shijiazhuang. It's an alright city as far as Chinese cities go, beyond that little bit of xenophobia. My experience has been that folks in Shijiazhuang are not particularly virulently xenophobic on a collective scale: just the hotel industry.
