I am getting many invites from friends to join linkedin, but am unsure if its used much in the ESL world. Wondering what experience, if any, you've had with networking on this or such online sites like it. Would be nice to have something like this for ESL, esp where you can look up people who have taught at a school you are considering before you move around the globe to start work there.
Appreciate your feedback.

I use it, but have yet to find a job through linkedin. It's always good to make contacts though. |

There's also BESIG, English Language Professionals etc on LinkedIn. And a number of people there are also on Twitter... Definitely worth making and building contacts through these two. |
