Is the word "having in the following sentence a verb or noun?
"So much for my building having good security." |

It's definitely not a noun.
I'm going for a modified present progessive/continuous (verbing).
But, I am no expert. |

Agree, since the implied "action" is being done by the building.
The building (object / noun) has (STATE / verb) good security.

Not sure if this is correct and I would never say it but is it
So much for my building's having good security?
The possessive form with -ing which has mostly been dropped these days. |
