|
|
Hi,
I am wondering if someone that lives in Nagoya can do me a HUGE favor.
I used to live there but now I am back in Canada. I have lost contact with a great friend that I met in Nagoya and I need help contacting him.
If there is anyone that can PLEASE help me I would be really grateful.
He owns a bar in Sakae so it would be easy to find him.
Thank you so much.

a. Look up the bar on the internet.
b. Get the phone number.
c. Call your friend.
Good luck. |

What's the name of the bar and where in Sakae? If I'm familiar with it I can probably help you out.

Pay for my flight to Japan and I will personally find your friend and help you re-establish contact with him. I will also do your bidding in Japan. I'm dead serious. |

WS 365,
I appreciate that alot. If you could stop by for me I would be so grateful.
Its called the Big Apple Bar.
If you know where Zara is across from Mitsukoshi, its on the street going in the direction of nagoya station that starts next to zara. The bar is a cupple blocks down from that on the right. It is on the bottom floor of a building with a cupple bars on the higher floors.
There is a hotel and a liquor store across the street from the building.
My friend's name is Thompson and hes a great guy. Im sure if you meet him you will have a good time.
If you can get his phone number for me, or leave my email ( [email protected]) I will find a way to somehow repay you.
Ive been trying to find a way to get a hold of him but I cant find a way.
Thank you so much.

I'll probably be in Sakae Friday night (and I'm always on the lookout for new places to go in Nagoya). If I am indeed in that vicinity, I'll certainly drop by.
Cheers,

Hey there,
I went by the place last night while out with a few friends. The Big Apple has become a hostess bar (because that's exactly what Sakae needs more of). I went downstairs and there was a bouncer hanging around - I asked him how long the place had been closed. Response: A couple of months. I also asked him about Thompson, and he had no idea. I went down the street to RR and asked a few people if they knew your friend. Response: "Sure, he's been AWOL for 2 months. He's a great guy." One person said he'd keep me updated if he shows up. I'll pop into 3T's as well. If anything comes of it, I'll PM you. Sorry about the lack of results (but the couple of beers and the walk through the drunken cherry blossom revellers made for a nice night). If the fates intervene and I do bump into the guy, I'll give him your email address.
You've got to love the Internet.
Cheers,

WabiSabi might post a message at the Nagoya International center, on the off chance that a friend of the bar owner might see the message and pass it on.
Just a thought.
(I live in Nagoya, but I don't get up there to Sakae / International Center often, so I'm not volunteering.) |

Hey,
Thanks a lot for doing that for me.
I hope someday I will manage to find him. He became one of my best friends but we had a mix up with phone numbers and just cant get in touch.
Ill keep trying to come up with something.
Before I left Japan he was planing to open up a womans clothing store in Nagoya Station but I dont know if that ever happend.
Anyway, thank you so much for doing me the favor even though Im a complete stranger.

Errr... I am #not# doing that for you. Did you misunderstand?
I live too far from those locations to casually do you a favor.
I was suggesting that #perhaps# wabisabi might be able to do that additional favor for you. |

I know this is an old post, but was just wandering around, and I'm curious by nature.
thb, did you ever locate your friend? |
