Hi all...

I've narrowed down spending some time in either DF or GDL taking Spanish classes, teaching some classes online I already do, and hopefully teaching English part-time just to keep my "live" teaching skills developed.

From what I've read, they seem to be very different cities in more ways than just size. I was wondering if anyone out there had any advice, opinions on the GDL vs DF topic. Also, does anyone have suggestions for finding shortterm apartments in either city?

it's a toss up. there will be opportunity in both places.

but think about your political allegiances:

would rather be a capitalino and support America Futbol Club?

or declare yourself provincial and be a Goat?

i've almost exclusively lived in the provinces, and it has done interesting things for my solidarity rating: Bilbao, Spain; Bordeaux, France; Portland, Oregon; Puebla, Mexico...

i can go to the capital anytime, and i know i will always find a brother...
