Strange sight in downtown Khobar on Midsummer's Day. An Indian gentleman walking his husky on a leash.

A dog is bizarre enough in this caninophobic environement, but a HUSKY ?

Well, Uncle Scott, dogs and cats have hidden biological air-conditioning which help them to adapt to cold and warm weather! Laughing
As far as the coat (fur) of the Husky is not shaved, it can act like an insulator against heat and cold. A Husky can do very well in the summer with his full fur as in a cold weather! Also, if water is available at all times during the day, then the Husky will survive the hot weather of the Magic Kingdom.

Now, where is that little Scottish Husky of Uncle Scott? Laughing

Do Saudis tend to dislike animals? You mentioned them being caninophobic...I'm just curious because a woman in my MA program is from KSA and she said she is terrified of the squirrels, cats, and dogs in the US.

Dogs are UNCLEAN. Cats are okay. Squirrels are not found on the Arabian Peninsula but, well, after all they are , RODENTS ! Overgrown tree-rats really.
