Does anyone know if it is difficult to obtain a job with the British COuncil in Malaysia.. I know it's easy in the BCs in Thailand and Egypt (they are always advertising) but how about in MY

They hire regularly. The office in Singapore does the HR thing for most of SEA I think. Send them an email, and you will have to fill out one of their lengthy and detailed profiles rather than just submitting a CV.

They were advertising at the beginning of the month.
Just google british council jobs. Have a look at the top 2 listings.

I'm interested in part-time work here. However, I've yet to receive a reply to any of their emails.

I would regard myself as 'unqualified' (not having an undergraduate degree), but due to the fact that I will be a part-time MA TESOL student with a part-time work visa, I've heard that this might not be the case.
