Greetings from Taipei~

As I am moving on to a different career, I am trying to find quality a quality teacher to fill my position.

This vacancy is for an AP Economics and Accounting instructor with a school here in Taipei (private international high school teaching Advanced Placement courses). Both courses are conducted in English and, as a result, local or foreign applicants are both welcome (visa sponsorship is available). Teaching experience is not a mandatory requirement, though a good understanding of business is preferred. The contact/teaching hours are 20 per week (fixed schedule with classes ending at 2:45pm or 12:15pm depending on the day) and the rate of pay is quite comfortable for Taiwan standards (though this is technically part-time, it is more than enough to live comfortably in Taipei). The faculty and staff are both very international with a nice mix of North American, European, Australian, Taiwanese, South African, and Filipino. The student body is predominately A/CBC (American/Canadian Born Chinese) and their communicative ability in English is very strong. The ages are 17-19 years old. The school is located close to mass transit so commute times are very reasonable, as well.

The position would be scheduled to begin this month (January 2010) and run until the summer, with the option to renew for the full 2010-2011 school year if both parties agree. You will also receive one week holiday for Chinese New Year and Fridays off (always a 3 day weekend).

This vacancy is available as I am moving on to a different career and trying to fill my current position.
