Having seen what an absolute shambles this place is and how my health deteriorated rapidly ,I would avoid these two institutions at all costs. I was timetables to teach 6 hours and ended up doing 12 hour days, with no overtime. They breached the contract and did not provide me wiht the visa reimbursement wich was 600 dollars and withheld my salary. These people are mean.ive worked in tefl for 15 years and never seen such rudeness, meanness, lack of organisation and viciousness form the other teachers and from the management. You are told you will get your own place..! Dont believe it..lie after lie was old..wish id read the stuff on the internet and taken action before landing at al mooroj compound..notorious for theft, attacks, manipulation and verbal and physical attacks..a nasty plavce to work..there is much much better out there.... my new contract is a dream come true after this horrid start to life in the kingdom..get out, but better still dont even think of going there in the first place as you will regret it.. |

You mentioned that you had a dream contract, is it in KSA? I started ap post on Al Yamamah and read too many negative things about the school, so I am trying to find and ideal job in KSA. Please let me know of other leads. |

Is this the same place where the revolt took place? I posted an article from the Arab News about this, but I am still unclear if it is the same place as this one. |

Hi there,
I have been researching this agency and university on the net.
I have come up with very differing viewpoints on it.
I would like to hear from people who have worked there.
From what I gather, you may be teaching up to 30 hours a week or more.
You may have bad accommodation or good accommodation.
You may have good support from your colleagues and the agency or none at all.
You may have access to good transportation, supermarkets and recreational activities.
What is the curriculum like? Is it fairly straightforward?
Would you need to spend lots of time doing lesson plans
if you're someone who has taught beginner/intermediate
levels for three years?
Is there lots of grading to be done?
Any feedback would be appreciated,

An ideal place to work ? Try the Big Rock Candy Mountain ! You won't find anywhere that is "ideal".
That applies to KSA and anywhere else I have visited or worked on Plkanet Terra ! |

Quality education for girls stressed
Yousuf Muhammad | Arab News
MADINAH: Princess Aljowhara bint Fahd, president of the Princess Noura bint Abdul Rahman University, has emphasized the need to provide quality education for girls in the Kingdom.
Addressing a seminar in Madinah, she highlighted the responsibility of everybody to improve the standard of educational institutions in the Kingdom at the regional and international levels.
We have achieved a lot and there remains more to be achieved. We have to work jointly and with the support of God we will achieve excellence in the field, she said.
question is, what do the phrases in bold mean to this lady? |

Well, since the conference is still going on right now, why not ask your question directly to this lady? You can send her an email so that she can answer your question.
The live web site of the conference is at:

I certainly agree with the lady who opened this subject. Alfaisal Academy should be blacklisted on every existing online forum. I'll provide more details (facts!) as soon as I am safely out of this country. |

The treatment of the teachers at this place doesn't surprise me. The big red flag for me was the fact that it's a start-up. I have never seen or heard of one going well in the Middle East.
When it comes to a new start-up organization, just don't even think about it! They are nothing but a headache! Future recruits, you have been warned! |

I would like to know if this institution is really as bad as everyone says;
some people have written that they have nothing to really complain about, others have said it is a nightmare.
What is going on? Someone please tell me. |
