As the title suggests, I'd like to do some textbook hunting while I'm in Singapore for a week or so over the CNY holiday. Any suggestions for where to look would be much appreciated...if anyone wants to toss out some other favorite book haunts in a more general vein, that would great, too.

Refugee from the China board; first time in Singapore and looking forward to a bit of warm weather no matter how brief.

There is a bookstore chain in Singapore called "Popular" that may have what you want. They have heaps of student resources/textbooks so they may have teacher resources. These bookstores are located in many shopping malls in the suburbs. Around the Orchard Rd area there is Borders, Kinokuinya (sp?) and a bookstore in the new ION shopping centre.

Don't forget all the bookstores that are in the small multi-level Bras Basah Complex shopping centre just west of the National Library (between Victoria St and Bridge St) near Bugis Junction. It is a gold mine of educational materials. Many of the shops carry loads of textbooks.
