It's a terrible situation- but how do you propose that we 'protect' them from an earthquake?

You may very well have a point. Of course, the Americans will vehemently deny any responsibility for the disaster. I came across the following report which is quite instructive. (I have deleted the Spanish version).

This is an English translation of a report by the Russian Navy which says that they have been monitoring the activities of the US fourth Fleet in the Caribbean and they are pretty sure that the earthquake was caused by tests that the US are carrying out in seismic warfare.

Date: 2010/1/17
Subject: US weapons causes earthquake in haiti

SPANISH TEXT FOLLOWS.

A report points out that an "Experimental Earthquake" by the United States devastated Haiti.

17 January 2010. -A report prepared by the Russian North Fleet is indicating that the earthquake that has devastated Haiti was the "clear result" of a test carried out by the U.S. Navy using one of its "earthquake weapons."

The Northern Fleet has been monitoring the movements and the naval activities of the United States in the Caribbean since 2008 when the U.S. announced its intention to reestablish the Fourth Fleet that had been deactivated in 1950, to which Russian responded a year later with a Russian fleet led by the nuclear cruiser "Peter the Great," beginning its first exercises in this region since the end of the Cold War.

From the end of the decade of 1970, the U.S. had "advanced enormously" the state of its earthquake weaponry and, according to these reports, it is now employing devices that use Pulse, Plasma and Telsa Electromagnetic Sonic technology along with "shock wave bombs."

The report also compares experiments by the U.S. Navy with two of these earthquake weapons last week, when the test in the Pacific caused a magnitude 6.5 earthquakes attacking the area around Eureka, California without causing any deaths, but with the one in the aribbean already causing at least 140,000 deaths of innocent people.

According to the report, it is "more than probable" that the U.S. Navy has had "full knowledge" of the catastrophic damage that this earthquake test could potentially cause to Haiti and pre-positioned its Commander of the Southern Command, General P.K. Keen, in the island to supervise the relief efforts should that become necessary.

As to the final aim of the tests of the weapons by the U.S. the report warns that it is the plan by the U.S. for the destruction of Iran through a series of earthquakes designed to overthrow its present Islamic regime.

The same report states that the system being worked on by the U.S. (the HAARP project) will allow it to create climatalogical anamolaies to rpovoke floods, droughts and hurricanes.

Another report indicates that there is data to establish that the earthquake in Sichuan, China, on May 12, 2008, with a mignitude of 7.8 Richler, was also created by the HAARP radio frequency.

There being a correlation between the seismic activity and the ionosphere by means of the control of the radio frequency induced by Hipocampos, within the HAARP framework, it is concluded that:
1. Earthquakes in which the depth is lineally identical in the same fault are produced by lineal projection of induced frequencies.
2. The configuration of satellites allows concentrated projections of frequencies on certain points (Hipocampos).
3. A diagram has been produced of lineal succession regarding the reported earthquakes in which it happens that all were produced at the same depth:
Venezuela 8th of January 2010 Depth 10 kms.
Honduras 11th of January 2010 Depth 10 kms.
Haiti 12th of January 2010 Depth 10 kms.
The rest of the aftershocks had depths of about 10kms.

After the earthquake, the Pentagon said that the hospital ship the USNS Comfort, which was anchored in Baltimore, started to call on its crew to depart for Haiti, even though it would take several days for it to reach. Admiral Mike Mullen said that the US. army was preparing to respond to the disaster.

Various Coast Guard cutters, ships in the U.S. fleet, the super aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson was sent from Norfolk, Va. with its full complement of planes and helicopters reach Haiti in the early afternoon of January 14. The Commander of the Southern Command, Fraser, declared that other helicopters would join the Vinson.

USAID was already in Haiti.

President Obama was informed of the earthquake at 5:52 p.m. on the 12th and ordered his personnel to ensure the safety of embasy staff and give necessary humanitarian aid.

According to the Russian report, the State Department, USAID and the Southern Command of the U.S. began their work of "humanitarian invasion," sending at least 10,000 soldiers and contractors, to control, now instead of the U.N., Haitian territory after the devastating "experimental earthquake."
