I'm wondering if there are any experts on the international job board willing to take a look at a teaching contract being offered see if there are signs of either a scam, or simply a disreputable company. Being relatively new to this, it is hard to know just how to assess the entire process, including the communications, the lack of detail, and the lack of standard items that any US corporation would explicitly say in a contract. It appears to be difficult to find information about some of these companies to determine if they are on the up and up, particularly when an email address being used is not a corporate email address but something like gmail, hotmail, or yahoo. Trying to avoid walking into a hornet's nest with few options for getting out.

You would probably be better off posting it in the country-specific forum where it applies.

Dear The Ever-changing Cleric,

I believe that what Glenski meant was to omit specific references to employer, individual names, addresses (including e-mail), etc. as such information will get a post removed by the Mods.

Regards,
John
