How's is it like working for AUST? Like the work environment, housing, remuneration and living in Ajman generally? Thanks. |

Ajman used to be mainly a "drive through" community to get somewhere else. It has built up in recent years and has satisfactory shopping and a nice beach front that is relatively well maintained by the municipality. The beach does get quite crowded on certain days and times of day though.
It is the poorest emirate having little/no natural resources and not much industry. However, it is not far from the bright lights and shopping of Dubai - the traffic can be horrendous though. A lot of people moved to Ajman when the rents skyrocketed in Dubai and although it's a 6 lane highway - it turns into a parking lot during much of the work week (and that can start as early as 0600 hrs and last as long as 2200 hrs). |

Any idea if their remuneration package is similar to HCT? |

My last contact left 4/5 years ago - at that time their package was not as good as HCT, if I remember correct 30-40% less and I don't think they got housing. |

I am keen to expand my work experiences but I must admit that as a family man, financial considerations loom large in my calculations. helenl, thanks for the info. |
