Hello,
I am currently applying to many of the job postings I see on various websites. A lot of them claim they are looking for teachers immediately, or have openings for several positions. I know that I meet the qualifications for these positions (2 years of TEFL teaching, TEFL certified, university degree, native English speaker and I also have a business background and can teach business-related English).
I'm not getting responses back from anyone. Its been over a month since I've applied to some of these schools.
What is the typical amount of time you should let pass before you figure that they are just not interested in you? |

| My turn around time was a month and that was with English Time who are pathologically always short on teachers. |

| In my experience, a lot of less gets done by e-mail here than I was use to. If you have phone numbers I would definitely try to call and speak to a head teacher or someone like that. E-mails get ignored ages, sometimes forever, but no one minds a phone call. I don't think it would be too forward. |

| It depends on when schools know what openings are going to be available and what needs the schools have. Usually in Turkey things start late as in April or May. You might start to hear things then. Good Luck |
