I live 30 minutes from Anshan.
I have many friends there, both Chinese and foreign.
What would you like to know? |

Sounds good. Small ex-pat community here, mostly keep to themselves. A good conversation is always worth a bottle. |

Anshan is a just like any mid-sized Chinese city. It's smaller than Harbin, has much less European influence, and a lot less foreigners.
It produces a lot of jade, has a rather odd zoo and park, and have a growing number of factories in the chemical industry.
It used to have a McDonald's but it closed down recently. Seems McDonald's just isn't working hard enough to keeps its market in China going.
I'll let you know about the places you mentioned later-- will ask some friends in Anshan. |
