Have any of you taught one-on-one/small groups in the UK and if so, how much do/did you charge per lesson?
I'm considering advertising for private students in a city like Oxford or Manchester to supplement my savings whilst I look for something more stable, but I have no idea how much the going rate is for classes or how many students I'll realistically be able to find. If any of you have experiences you could share then I'd be extremely grateful.
Thanks a lot! |

I managed to get quite a few private students when I worked in Manchester and charged 20 for one hour one-to-one tuition - I provided the materials. Any less and you're cheating yourself. |
