Hello all,

With all due respect to the person who posted the message about the ELI at KAU getting rid of and no longer accepting teachers with B.A.'s, I have an update: I just got off the phone with the head of the in-house recruitment department at the English Learning Center at KAU in Jeddah and he said that it was not true and this is a total rumor. I have a good friend that also works as the new teacher coordinator for KAU (he also directly works on the contract process as well). He said the same thing. We have known each other for 14 months and we respect and trust each other. He is the one who was responsible for getting me into a teaching position at KAU university. TOTAL RUMOR. I would like to tell you what they told me what they think is the reason for the posting, but I bet everyone can figure it out.

You are very welcome. I don�t mind good, strong discussions about universities hiring teachers with, or without MA�s, but to �create� a rumor like the one posted about KAU is, at best, unreliable and at worst, very unprofessional.
