As the thread title suggests, does anyone have an up-to-date comparison?
Thanks |

Check local online newspapers for ideas about rent. Cars are generally more expensive in Qatar.
For the rest, it depends a lot on your life style. What type of lifestyle suits you? |

The cost of living in AUH is fairly high. Rent is high (although usually covered by employers). Problem is, it's so high that many employers are throwing employees into shared housing.
Cars are not too hard to find in AUH. A cheap meal is becoming illusive if you like eating out (and like something other than an American junk food franchise).
Doha is a neat place --- but you get the feeling of being locked in (there's nowhere to go). IN AUH - at least you have the UAE (an interesting variety of places) and Oman. If the ferries start working, things might change. |
