Hi All,

I am an Asian national living and working in Europe for over 9 years.I had been offered an attractive IT job in one of the big IT Companies in KSA. I am trying to find the answers to few questions. This is the only informative forum i could find out so far, I know this is more for the teachers so please excuse me for posting here or direct me if there is any other forum?

1) I signed the contract with the company 2 months ago, Company applied for my visa to the Ministry. Now the question is how long will it take to get this visa approved ?

2) I had been told after this approval i had to fly down to my own country to get my passport stamped?

3) I have to get my degrees attested from foreign affairs, have to get my medical tests.

I want to know how long will it take to get all these things sorted? I already had turned down few very impressive offers just to join this.

Is there any chances that company can get the rejection for the approval? or put this way is it normal to take 2 months for getting the visa approval?

Sorry i forgot to mention, Its direct hire from the Company. I don't have any recruiters in between. Also the company already had organized business visa for me where i traveled down to ksa for interview and other bits. That visa was organized only in 2 weeks and was stamped in 1 day from the Saudi Embassy.

The short answer is it could take months. First of all the company has to place ads for a Saudi in all the local newspapers. Then, if any apply, it has to interview them to maintain appearances.

Once it's got the block visa things go quickly. How quickly depends on what country you are applying for the visa from.
