Hi all.
Quick question, I'm doing an MA/MEd TESOL and Applied Linguistics at the moment. Are both MAs and MEds just as good as each other in the Middle East generally, or is it preferable to have an MA?
Cheers. |

Depends if they rate them by alphabetical order. |

Good heavens Gunga Din..the issue in the Middle East is whether the master's is in an appropriate field. not whether it's a master of arts or a master of education. In the US at least, some master's degrees in EFL or applied linguistics are out of linguistics departments and thus earn you an MA; others are in English departments (MA) and still others are in education departments (M.Ed.). Nobody cares which as long as they relate to TEFL. |

Thank you Sheikh N Bake, that's just the kind of straight-to-the-point advice that I like. Do you have a Masters degree yourself btw?
Cheers. |
