Surely that depends on the rate each day. Your second question is more relevant, and just involves a quick walk around an area where there are branches of all the major banks and looking at what each one is offering

...although, unless you are changing $10,000 USD +, I don't think a few pesos here or there makes the effort worthwhile.

Don't change at the airport...

check you banks, different banks have different rates, and it changes daily at 11 am i think...also if you are exchanging over 1000pesos the rate is better, but you have to ask for it....

Just check the banks and exchange houses.

The rates will change a bit each day, it's pretty close between all of them, but it still pays to shop around. Be careful with spending US dollars, most stores won't accept them and the ones that do often have a special "tourist" rate that is nothing more than a rip-off.

Wow. 2 months ago, I was getting 12.80 for my $1.
Now, it's common to only get 12.00 or so.

How long are they going to prop up the dollar. I want more pesos!

How many of you pay attention to this?

Prop up the greenback? It's free-floating.

You must have an income from the States or a huge stash of cash!

I would like to see it firm up a bit, perhaps 11pesos-1USD.

Last year it sunk down to 16 pesos to the dollar.
