Does anyone have opinions on these operations? I'd appreciate frank feedback based on direct experience.
We need to look out for one another in this business... |

The repetition of the the highly charged adverbs and adjectives would indicate a bad experience. Would you have the time to elaborate?
Thanks for the response. |

I haven't worked in either but I can tell you what I've heard through the grapevine.
Istek pays well but there is a problem between the native and non native teachers. Of course there are many Istek schools in different suburbs but it seems like the main problem is the turkish way of teaching English being forced on the Native teachers. There are many threads about Istek on here.
Hev on the other hand pays much lower compared to other k12 schools. I hear its about 2400 tl. But they also give $800 housing compensation. I personally know 2 teachers who moved to other schools because they got better offers.
I also know that HEV is trying to run a bilingual program and many of the students have very good English when you compare them to other schools, not sure whether this is because they are taking privates on the side.
I lived in Gokturk for 2 years where HEV is located and I really loved the area.
Hope this helps |
