|
|
I decided that after college, i will apply to a CELTA course in Vietnam.
In order to better prepare myself for CELTA, what are some things i need to brush up on? So far, i am currently reading The Blue Book of Grammar to improve my grammar and my awareness.
I have some extended family members in Vietnam, so i can stay at their house and freeload.
What are some preparations i should do before i attend the course?
How should i book a flight to Vietnam? one-way? multi-destination? round-trip? Are there tickets that offer an open return-flight? Also which of the two programs, ILA and Apollo, are better?
Please list some things that i should do to better equip myself for CELTA course.
Thank you all! |

You might find an introduction to basic teaching methodology book such as Jeremy Harmer (Practice of English Language Teaching) or Penny Ur is useful to read beforehand. By no means essential: the course itself is tough and intensive but generally self-containing - but certainly useful, as well as interesting and informative.
The CELTA course is pretty standardised so you should (should!) get a similar experience wherever you take it and whoever you take it with. However, of the two schools you mention here, I'd definitely go with ILA. |
