So I'm considering working at GABA. I've searched the board till my eyes popped out. i know the pay is low and the pay is unstable, but ultimately I want the flexibility of a schedule. I want to have the time to enjoy my life in Tokyo. and i hate kids.

If there are any full-time GABA teachers on here, can you tell me about your average income? Let's suppose I'm an above-average teacher who is willing to teach at normal hours of the day (9 or 10am to 5-7pm).

Actual numbers would be good as I'm trying to plan out my budget if I do end up over there.

Thanks in advance.

There is your first problem. GABA will want and expect you to teach most evenings for the days you are on the schedule. Their peak time (= high demand for teachers by students) is 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.. Lots of weekends will be expected too. GABA, naturally, will hire teachers who think "What can I do for GABA" rather than the other way around.

Also, do you have work or spousal visa? GABA is increasingly padding their teacher rosters with working holiday visas because they are cheap, easy, risk-free, and fast for the company.

If you bust your ass you might see 200,000 yen/month if you're popular. The GABA business model wasn't built to last, especially in these harsh economic times. In 2007-2009 I taught there and my max check was 235,000 yen and I had a fairly loyal student following.
