Hello, ... can anyone recommend a good place to stay near Big C. I have a tight budget. Length of stay, probably a week. I plan to be there first week of March.

Sorry Cairns, there are 67 shops in total. 41 are outside BKK.
I cheated and went to their site.
BigC is owned by Casino Group, which is huge and French. They are massive in S America, and also own the Monoprix chain in France. I was corrected, because I used to think BigC was part of Carrefour in Thailand.
The OP can go to the site, which shows (I believe) the many branches.

| Are you going to do a training course at ECC? Their website (http://www.eccthai.com/lifestyle/accomodation.asp) has a list of accommodation options for Patumwan, which includes White Lodge Guesthouse at B500/n and A-One Inn for B600/n. |
