Deulcom has branches throughout Turkey and is a recently established chain of schools. Some branches have a reputation for being very late payers. Check with that particular Kayseri branch your gross pay to the actual teaching hours (not 40 minute periods) per month. The norm would be 24 weekly. They wanted me to do the work of 2 people in an offer to me! Good luck.

Deulcom is not new-they have been in TURKEY for more than 10 years.

The system is employ local teachers cheaply and then have a few foreigners to chat to them.

Well enough said then really! 10 years is certainly new in terms of EFL teaching amongst schools. There is more to teaching than 'chatting.' Also if Turkish teachers are taking cheap pay (which I suspect inexperienced ones are) then it tells you some things about the school.

Yea, the hours are God aweful.. 32 45minute classes per week.. classes spread of six days a week..Basically they think they can condense 3 teaching periods into an hour and a half. When you reduce 32 45 teaching periods down to 60mın periods it does come out to 24 hours a week.. But a lesson is a lesson... It takes just as long to prepare for a 50 mın class as 45.

I only know the Istanbul branch, which has a HORRIBLE reputation for paying on time.

I have heard that the Izmir Branch is better because it's a franchise and shows its teachers a little more respect.

32 lessons a week?

Even in the 'high' 'schools' in the Gulf, the owners, who are all direct descendants of the Pharaoh's chief slavemaster, wouldn't dream of lumping that many contact hours onto one of their poor mules.
