I have come across reports that US embassies are always very helpful towards their nationals when the latter are in trouble. But I have also noticed, from postings on this Forum, that the Canadian authorities often appear to be next to useless when a poor Canuk is having problems.

So,what is the situation with Australian Embassies and Consulates ? A first class service, mediocre - or what ?

Regards,

Peter
