When is a good time to buy flight tickets to Europe, for departure in mid-July 2010?
Recently, I searched for KLM (Royal Dutch Airlines) flights from GZ via Amsterdam - RMB8100 return flight ticket; (12,000+) single journey. |

Usually, it's better to try to talk to a ticket agent; they can almost always find some kind of "special", that's been my experience, anyway.
(Pssst! This shouldn't be on "Job-related Posts Only".) |

I saw a flight to Frankfurt (return to Beijing) for 3500 RMB being sold by someone on a classified website, but it was in May I believe. |

The prices you see of around 3,000 to 4,000 are almost always excluding taxes and fees. Normally prices end up around the 6000 to 8000 mark, in the summer at least, though there are exceptions. Emirates sometimes have good prices out of Beijing, and some Chinese airlines have good prices through agents. |

They are, some people still try to brazen their way through pretending to be the purchaser. It used to be fairly easy years ago, but it's very risky now. |

Not many European Airlines fly to GZ.
I would recommend either :
1/. Take an Air Asia flight to Bangkok, where you can get a much cheaper ticket. EVA Air fly direct to Amsterdam, and there is a huge choice of Middle Eastern, Asian and Europen Airlines.
2/. Visit Hong Kong for a couple of days and check out some travel agents. |
