|

Dear all,
I have been an ESL coordinator at a community college for 10 years, and have taught but mainly administrated during that time. But, because I have been at the same place for so long, I now feel lost regarding how to go about securing an even better position somewhere else. I suppose the analogy is that I feel like a recently separated or divorced person who has been out of the dating scene for a loooong time :O
I don't want to rush around in pointless directions as I begin my search. It will help me, then, if some of my fellow professionals would be wonderfully kind and consider giving me 'dating' tips (so to speak). For example, do head hunters exist for ESL professionals, or do we - in the ESL field - always rely on sites such as Dave's, and by word-of-mouth?
My specific target would be an administrative position which allows me to still teach an ESL class throughout each academic session, and it would be for a company (such as my former one - ELS) rather than a college (which is where, of course, I have spent the last 10 years).
Thank you so much for any help you can provide. I appreciate it
Regards,
Paul

Hi Paul,
Have a look at the TES (Times Educational Supplement) online. Just google TES. They have national (UK) and international postings updated regularly. Look under the jobs section. Hope that helps as a starting block. |

There is a market for teacher trainers. Consider that.
Business English schools might be interested in you.
How about starting your own school?
Got a specific country in mind? |
