I had an experience that can only be described as HELL at Berlitz.

I am 58 years old I was violently attacked by a young teacher who had been taking alcohol, tobacco and hash in the Berlitz accommodation.
I had property worth over 600$ stolen by the teachers there.
When I reported it to the management they fired me.

Please be VERY careful if you are thinking of working for Berlitz.

Talk to Solmaz and report the incident and situation to the Berlitz franchise office. Maybe they are getting worse and worse and have gone down to the level of the other language centers in Istanbul. Do Berlitz a favor.. report them to the franchise.

I hope you contacted the police about the situation.. sounds like the drugs would be illegal and not to mention the violent assault.

By the way.. why did the amount go from over $700 on your first topic/post down to $600 on this post? Just curious.. Laughing

how do you "take" alcohol, tobacco and hash? You mean "stealing" it? While this story is surely disturbing, you have to imagine how it looks to an outsider: somewhat incredible, to say the least. Why should the number "58" be so relevant here? How much "younger" was the attacker?

Its all kind of confusing. I have known people who did similar things that the younger teacher did, but violent attacks were not the result. Perhaps there is some other reason he attacked you, apart from the things you say he was taking.
