I'm thinking of applying for some part-time work in schools and colleges in London. I've been solely self-employed these last couple of years though teaching private students and I was wondering if anyone had any idea how this might be viewed?

Also, what would the position be regarding references? What would I be expected to produce? Prior to the private work, I taught in Asia for four years but I'm not altogether sure I would be able to contact them now plus would that be too far back anyway in terms of references?

Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks.
