So I am in a slightly difficult situation. I am moving to Japan at the end of the month and the dispatch company that has hired me is rapidly changing the terms of my employment. I really want to stay with the company but if I am not able to reach a satisfactory resolution I may have to say no to the position. I have been preparing for this move for quite sometime, and it is simply too late in the game for me to postpone my decision to move to Japan. I will be in the Tokyo area and I would like to prepare for the worst case scenario. If anyone can help answer my questions I would be very grateful.
*I apologize in advance if these question have been asked before, the search function is not working for me 
1) As far as I understand, my Visa will be an 'Instructors Visa', is this also the same work visa as used by teachers at eikaiwas? Can I legally work at an eikaiwa, or do I need a different visa?
2) Can I legally use my visa to work at another unrelated job just to make ends meat until I find a English teaching position?
3) If I have a place to stay in Tokyo for a few weeks what are the odds that I will be able to find a new position within the surrounding area, considering that I already have a work visa? I would begin looking for a job at the beginning of April.
4) Can the company cancel my work visa? From what I have read they cannot, but I really want to be sure on this point. I definitely do not want to be in the country illegally.
5) Is the market so saturated that I should just take what ever the company offers?

If you have already signed a contract, then it is illegal for them to do that without your consent.
If you have not signed a contract yet, then it is up to you to decide whether to take the position or bail out at the airport (and perhaps to notify the labor standards office and/or union).

No, they are totally different. The one for use at an eikaiwa is called Specialist in Humanities/International Relations work visa.

What do you mean by "unrelated"? You can use the visa to work, yes, but such work must be within the field for the instructor visa:
1. In cases where the applicant is to engage in instruction at a vocational school (kakushugakkou) or an educational institution equivalent to it in facilities and curriculum or in cases where the applicant is to engage in instruction at another school in a capacity other than that of a teacher, the following conditions are to be fulfilled. In cases where the applicant is to engage in instruction at a vocational school or an educational institution equivalent to it in facilities and curriculum which is established to provide primary or secondary education in a foreign language to the children of those with the status of residence "Diplomat" or "Official" given in Annexed Table I (1) of the Act or "Dependent" given in Annexed Table I (4) of the Act, only requirement a) need be fulfilled.

Fair, but keep in mind that jobs for teaching with an instructor visa begin on April 1 or thereabouts, depending on exactly what schedule the school has decided on.

They cannot cancel your visa, but they can cancel their sponsorship of it.

IMO, hell no! What exactly are they changing on you midstream?
