Hi everyone,
I just thought it might be time for this board to start a discussion over the new immigration law that went into affect March 1, 2010.
I guess my first question is, is everyone aware that there is a new law and that it does make changes for people who are here teaching on a tourist visa and leaving the country every 90 days?
Is there anyone out there who is in the know and who can share the details of the new law with readers?
Are you all aware that there is a new special immigration police that was formed by the new law?
Well I hope that this gets the dicussion going because I think it is a very important issue but I need all of you out there to help get it going. Remember at one point you were a teacher thinking about coming to Costa Rica, now it's time to give back and help those newbies out there. |

Any discussion would be purely speculation as the new regulations have not been published and even immigration does not know,so I am told , and that they until the new regs are published they are just following the same old laws or regulations...stay tuned.. |

Hmmm, it sounds like things are still somewhat formative with the new law. What is the basic premise? Will we be limited to a certain number of border-hops on a 90-day tourist visa? |
