http://www.kais-associate-sabis.net/index.jsp.htm

Is that the one ?

I see "Chouefat" and "SABIS" mentioned on this website. Do a search on that in this forum. The postings are generally negative.

Avoid this school at all cost.

The only thing International about this school is the name.
You will be issue work everynight with a 24 hour deadlne.
You will work on your off days. The Lebanonese environment
is offensive and unprofessional. The students are disrespectful
and literally rule the school. You will constantly be bullied
and force to give marks too students that are not your own.
The pay is somewhat lower and the overall structure of the school
is lackluster "Chaotic Business" mindset by the Prince and the Uk program director a priority. Remember if you live in there apartment, they will visit you and give you extra work. They will slide it under your door. You will not be a teacher.. just a controlled babysitter. They will beat you into submission and your punish you for new ideas or opinion.
I only thing I learn during my painful one year experience..is too never work for then again...

I am sorry for being so blunt and mean.
I completed my contract and you can tolerate
the harsh environment. Please remember that they are
very dishonest and if it is not about money..the will not listen
or even care. If you are married, please do not try to raise
a family, while working with them.. Remember they do not care
about anything.. so students can punch you.. kick you..throw chairs
and even curse at you.. Nothing will happend except that the teacher will be questioned. You will be the parent/babysitter without the ability
to manage the classroo, or to enforce discipline. Please be careful
the women will work on all sides..and they can wear anything...Dont even approach them.. dont trust anything.. just shut up ..get your salary
and never answer the door or stange numbers..
Just get another job in Saudi if you can ....this school is not worth the stress and pain

"The Lebanese environment is offensive and unprofessional." Are we talking about the same school. The school I'm referring to is in Saudi Arabia.

I think he means the management is Lebanese. Philip, I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO TURN THEM DOWN !! Or at least ask for a whopping raise in your monthly salary. You have worked in Korea before, therefore picture a really nastly hogwon boss times 8-10. If they are offering $5000 fair enuff; if you can take the sheer mental stress of living in a controlled environment where you most certainly cannot really let off steam. Some people can handle Saudi, I think the majority of them found a nice working envt. A SABIS school is nothing of the sort.

He is correct, the management is Lebanese. The above comparison with Korea is correct The director is from the Uk and the principal is some low level Saudi prince, who only deals with the money. The English coordinator is from Pakistan. The workers are all Asians of course. You may have one Saudi student. The rest are from Lebanon and they come in all religions. It is a fashion show and they dislike anyone outside the loop. It baffles me why anyone would want to wear a 2000 usd suit just to teach dirty students in the desert -_-.

My advice too you is only accept their contract if the pay is great.
If you are homeless then accept their contract.

PLEASE make insert the following in your contract
at least 12000 riyals monthly and free living arrangements.
guaranteed letter of no objection in your contract.
no working on your off days and only teach English classes.

It sucks when they force you to teach Arabic one day. You spend
the whole time yelling at students and playing tic tac toe with the words
La and nam.
Please avoid 6th-9th graders. They basically are animals that speak a few words in English.

Take photos of your class work and keep examples of everything you do.
Record your classes everday.
This will be the only proof you have that you completed the agreed material. This will be your only witness, so be ready to wage a verbal war.
The student will lie and say you didnt cover this, so my low mark should be delete. The Students will say the teacher curses and only sleeps in class. The students are Lebanese and they will speak a mixture of French and Arabic. They will talk and insult you and they try to get you fired..
urggh f this school go back to Korea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
