Does anybody here know where someone can get an
online distance degree? I already hold a 2 year post college diploma
and would like to transfer these credits and get it done in maybe 2 years. |

In Canada, Athabasca University

Some other traditional universities, such as Simon Fraser University, allow you to transfer 60 credits towards a degree program and have so many online upper level courses that you can complete that degree online as well.

Personally, I would recommend SFU online. You can do a combination of English major/Education minor (ECE, learning disabilities). I did a few online classes (most of my classes were on campus) and the quality is top notch. I think it is #3 or #5 ranked university in the country, but I'm not sure. |

Thanks santi84,
Athabasca requires you to have work experience in your field in the previous 5 years prior to starting your degree (without considering 2 years of post diploma experience). Plus requiring $100.00 for a pre-test without even accepting you.
I just found TRU (Thompson Rivers University), and they sound more reasonable, and will accept your transcripts regardless how long you graduated.
I will check with SFU, and see if they accept my transcripts also. They might be better than TRU, but it doesn't matter. I'm going ahead with it. |

TRU & SFU are both great "traditional" universities, so either one would be a good choice.
SFU was good about accepting my transfer credits BUT a lot of them transferred as "PSYC XXX" instead of the required "PSYC 201", or whatever. So even though I got credit, I still had to redo the class. |

Numerous accredited public and private brick-and-mortar universities have distance degree programs. (By "accredited" I mean regional or government accreditation, such as those accrediting agencies approved by the U. S. Department of Education). |
