|
|
I want to move to a new country this autumn and am considering a few options. Does anyone know what the chances of getting a job - perhaps in a university - in Hong Kong (or Macau). I need to earn a good salary.
I have over 20 years experience of teaching, training teachers, writing coursebooks and an MEd (TESOL). I speak Mandarin, but can't write it.
Thanks. |

Any new findings on your job hunt? Did you locate any good websites or are you planning on going there and searching in country? |

My job hunt is mainly focussed on the Middle East. I've not found any interesting jobs in Hong Kong. I was hoping someone else might know the situation there. |

This comment is not particularly helpful. |

A lot of the local HK universities are currently advertising in the south China Morning Post.
The jobs for instructors in TESOL are very competitive here.
M..A. is minimum but they prefer PHD for lecturer rank. |

I think you misread the post. I asked about the situation in HK, because I like the city and could enjoy living there, but I've actually been spending most of my time looking at jobs in the Middle East, and at writing/editing jobs. |
