|
|
School after school says they will only assist in getting WPs for full-time teachers. Full-timers get screwed over on scheduling, classes, and staffroom politics.
Full timers often make a FT deal with a school over the internet, and then fly into Vietnam for the first time.
Even the schools that have promised to assist in getting the WP (whatever this means) are not doing it.
There are only 2 private language schools that do it for teachers, and then they hold the work permit, claiming it's theirs and not the instructors.
So, when you move to a new city and/or change schools, you have to start all over again!!
Time for me to move on. |

I'm pretty sure the law states that the WPs can only be used for one school. So changing schools does require to start the process over again. However, if you can get a work permit, then to get a second one is a whole lot easier because you shouldn't need to get a new health check or criminal record check, or have your documents legalized/translated a second time. all you should need to do is submit the documents to the office and pay the $20-$30 fee and wait 15 days. |
