Hi, I am looking for a EFL position here in Chengdu and hope to stay until this September. I have worked here in Sichuan province before; as an IT English teacher which lasted for four months this school year. I've just returned from Yinchuan after having failed to 'pass the audition' at one language school there. I've looked at two possibilities so far, but does anyone know of where I can start here for what is left of this school term? Also, my current work visa expires on 1, July and am not certain if I want to go back to HK again. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks. |

If you can't teacher Information Communication Technology, you can always teach English.
Is that a serious job title, or are you pulling my leg? |

I'm also looking for a job in Chengdu.
Does anyone know how easy it is to get a job if you fly out there first and then look around, talk to people and hand out CVs?
Are the jobs readily available when you are there in person? Has anyone had experience of finding jobs in China this way? |

Where are the IT English teaching jobs at??
I think you'd get a private school job easy enough if you were in the city. |
