Anybody have weird stories or legends about their school? I've heard four about mine:

1. The library had this little, low wall built in front of it some years after the school opened. This was to improve the library's feng shui, and make the students' test scores higher.

2. The school built the wall, which has swirly metallic designs on it, to protect the library from the ghost of a girl who leapt to her death off the roof because of an affair with an architecture professor.

3. There is an open plaza with no buildings in the center of the campus. It had been left empty because it was used as a mass grave by the Japanese.

4. Some boy killed his girlfriend in his dorm room at the very end of the semester and shoved her body in a cupboard. Nobody found it until the following fall.

How about YOUR school?

Yeah, I'll tell you a rumor about the first school I ever worked at. My colleague had been reportedly spending too much time alone with young students in a classroom. When I got to know him after I left the school, I saw enough to corroborate the rumors, in my view. Later observers must have reached the same conclusion because he is now in jail.

There's a rumor within my educational establishment that foreign teachers disappear in the middle of the night or in the middle of long holidays. Can a rumor be a rumor if it is true?......

There is a rumour here that foreigners who stay too long turn into the undead, whose immortal souls can never find peace.

In Saudi Arabia how long is too Long ? 2 years ? 5 ?

There are definitely people here who have become terminally weird and for whom there is no going back to the "normal" life in the "real" world.
