Does anybody have any info on ADWOC Oil, Libya ?
The job offer entails teaching a 6 hour day, 6 day week (6th day 'office work'). Seems a pretty heavy workload. Holidays amount to 2 months per annum, salary at 3K. |

So i thought about it out loud for a few days. And i came to this conclusion. Schubert, youre worth more than this - they want 2 for the price of 1 on the set of mr bean who may not even due to a pile up on the north african highway (9 camels were crushed etc). So i says to myself, Hey Franz, loosen up man, you dont need to sell your ass to feed the herd.

Bless you, John.
Yes, I must get round to finishing that Symphony. ACHTUNG ! Its a killer.
I'm working on the Impromptus at the moment and Im supposed to die (DONNER und BLITZEN !!) soon after that (acc to records) ..
so Libya .. working the double split shift all alone, with students comin out my ears seems an obvious move.
Thanks for the encouragement

.. sorry it was actually 12 camels in all died in that higway pile up. There are 2 more on life support outside a hospital in Tripoli. Several others were flown to a hump specialist in Benghazi. One can only feel for their owners at this difficult time |

mein gott ! does this story never end !! It now transpires that these 12 camels were not actual camels at all but real, live virtual english language teachers on their way to a job at AD- something. A sharp eyed (he was passing by at 120kms) native reporter spotted the pile up and reported. Using the term camels a fond expression natives use for language teachers coz of the workload they carry (acc to gossip at the oasis). He said they were all piled into a Peugeot pick-up. It might have been a Toyota, he wasnt sure coz of the speed he was doing.
Ill try to keep up. Without this contact in Benghazi, wed all be in the dark .. |

A reliable source close to this contact in Benghazi says word has it at the oases that the camel-flogger (teacher recruiter, in uk London) still wants to get paid ! The camel flogger claims that the present bunch might do a lot better than the previous batch of 24 he sent and would be less demanding. They could still be used for teaching vocab and the past tenses.
The hump specialist in Benghazi, a Dr Fareed Goldfinger, doesnt know or want to know anything about humps or penguins or language teachers. As far as he was concerned the whole lot could go and drown themselves in the Mediterranean sea but he welcomed the opportunity to practice his english |
