Has anyone actually got a job or a response from an employer after having posted their resume on Dave's? |

I can't actually answer this - though I believe so, providing you're seeking a job in one of those parts of the world where teachers are in great demand.
Jobs in tighter job markets aren't often advertised abroad, and those schools that will hire someone sight-unseen are sometimes dodgy.
Depends where you want to go, basically.
Where do you want to go? |

Would like to get back to Europe for a year at least. Been in Asia and now Middle East for a couple of years each and need some Euro loving. Art, food, language, queues, and other stuff needed.
Would settle for pretty much anywhere in Western Europe. Got any advice? |

Assuming (from your use of the word queue) that you've got a passport from an EU member country: pick a city. Come over at the end of August. Interview in person.
You could send CVs in advance, but if no one responds, don't feel bad - it's just one of those job markets where you really have to be standing here, CV in hand, looking professional, to get a hearing.
Western Europe is one of those job markets that really doesn't hire from abroad, unless you have specialist quals. Do you?
It's generally a kinda depressed market over here at the moment, I'm afraid. |

No, no specialist quals at the moment. Just started working on an MA.
Yeah, I realise the market is pretty bad at the minute. Was absolutely thinking along the same lines that you gave. Go over, interview in person, wear a suit.
I take it you work in Europe, which country? |

Interesting. What experience and qualifications would be needed to get a job teaching English in a European university? Are there jobs available for bog-standard teflers? |

I've recently got replies back from a few European employers (language schools, not universities) and the message I'm getting is the market is full. |
