|

Hello!
Has anyone had any experience at the dentist in Thailand? I am moving to a small town in the South in October. Currently I am still in the United States. Today I had a dental emergency and had to have a procedure which resulted in antibiotics and a scheduled follow up exam. The whole painful experience just left me with one huge question; what if this had happened in Thailand? What if this does in fact happen in Thailand?
Any experiences in Thailand with dentists? Thoughts, facts about prices, practice, and/or procedures? If you were to have a dental emergency while in Thailand, specifically in a small town and not in Bangkok, what are the care options?
I have been well informed on health issues, hospital visits, etc., but have yet to read anything or be told anything about the dentist. I appreciate anything you may be able to tell me about this. |

Costs are (shop around a bit) a fraction of what they are in the states and dental care for those who can afford it are as good as any in the states.
Root canal with crown for $200 (complete).
Braces (2 years of care) for $1500.
Basic drill and fill - $10. |
