|
I have to get my landlord to go to the Ward police station to get a criminal background check.
A few possible problems are,
My apartment building is fairly large with a large number of tenants.
How am I going to ask my landlord (I'll need a translator) to go do this?
How much will it cost?
What has to be done?
How long will it take?
I've been told there are a few stamps involved, plus some cash payments and whisky sessions.
Does anybody know? |

1.) You need your name to be registered in the "house book". A lot of Vietnamese landlords don't register their tenants to avoid paying taxes. Hopefully this won't be an issue for you.
2.) You may or may not be able to get it done at the local police station. A few people I know, including myself, were unable to get it done at the local level though. I had to go to the Department of Justice at 141/43 Pastuer. You can go there, with the house book, fill out a form and have the paper in about a month. It costs $100. |
