|
|
Hi everyone,
I'm new to the boards here and new to english teaching in general. I'm actually a music teacher in Canada but just want something different so I am going to Taiwan to teach English. I am pretty sure I have a job hooked up Hsinchu, which to my understanding is quite close to Taipei. I've been a bassist in Canada, playing mostly jazz music for the past few years and am wondering if there are any good gigs to be had in taipei (ie. hotel/ restaurant jazz gigs) and if there are any musicians who use the board who are looking for a bass player?
This may be a long shot but i figured I'd try anyways.

Hey bud,
I live in Taipei, so I can't speak for Hsinchu. I play drums and guitar, been in/around a few bands. Bassists are in high-demand!...in a rock 'n' roll scenario, I can't speak for jazz. I think there are a lot of jam sessions that go on...Google or Facebook: Roxy Roots, Brown Sugar. |
