I am strongly considering moving to the UAE. Because I don't have a degree in English, I realize that university jobs are out of the question.
So, after sending out my resume, I've been contacted by STG, Inc. (which as far as I know teaches English to military personnel).
Does anybody have experience doing this kind of teaching? |

Looks like the Embassy's commerce and trade attache has been busy introducing their friends to the Crown Prince......
First - a bunch of for-profit businesses show up in the KG/12 system - and now - they're showing up in the military. Imagine that - outsourcing in reverse! Apparently, the Indian and Egyptian teachers weren't cutting it (in someone's opinion).
Know this - you're part of an experiment. There's a bunch of different organizations being contracted to teach English (they're for-profit, for the most part). Some will be judged good - others won't.
You may or may not have a job in a year --- welcome to the land of nshallah. |
