I need some straight answers.
Korea E2 visa Rules. I need to know about the rules and regulations about Korea E2 visa. I was a teacher at a public school in Seoul, South Korea.
I finished a successful year and did such a good job the principal who was retiring asked me to stay another year. After he retired the new principal was very supportive of me.
Into my renewal contract year (Second year) about 3 months I had a very important emergency. It came up and I had to deal with it immediately.
It was friday and on that day it was undeniable I must leave Korea and return home immediately. Instead of just leaving during the work day, I scheduled a meeting with my Head Co-Teacher, The Principal and the 2 Vice Principals. I wanted to show my respect and explain that This day must be my last and I will be leaving Korea Monday. It was a super short notice, but my principal was very supportive of me and gave me his blessing. However, one vice principal asked if I could stay for 2 more weeks, but I was not able. I left 3 days after (Which was Monday).
* The reason was my father was diagnosed with cancer earlier that year and was just started to get treated. This is the MAIN BASE OF THE STORY.
It was a choice of seeing him again or maybe never seeing him at all. Please understand this situation. VERY STressful . In addition, my personal health was declining due to stress of this and job.
I had to step down on Friday, Then Left Monday.
My Korea E2 Visa expires August 2010.
Please send any comments or suggestions.
Thank you |

Dear klis,
I suspect your post here will soon disappear:
One of the "stickies" above:
"Please do not post questions or comments regarding living and teaching in Korea on this board. The Korean Job Forums exist solely for this purpose and contain a wealth of information and resources pertinent to Korea.
This policy is applicable to all forums here on the International Board.
If any Korea focused comments are posted on the International Board, they will be deleted or locked and sanctions issued as warranted.
Separate registration is required for the Korean Job Forums and registration here on the International board does not automatically transfer to the Korean Job Forums."
Sorry,
John |
