I'm currently looking for TEFL work in China, preferably in Guangzhou and wondered what an ideal wage would be for a full or part time job.

I am currently working part time in South Korea and my wage is 1.5million won - which is around 860 or $1200.

On top of this I have a free apartment. If I live frugally I am able to save a good deal of this money, if I travel, eat Western food etc I can still save some monthly.

In China what would be a comparable wage from which I can have a good social life, eat reasonably well(including occasional international cuisine) with enough to send money home to pay off my student loans?

Thanks I really appreciate any help you can give

About the same. 8,000 RMB with apartment included and you should be sitting pretty.
